Duties and Responsibilities

The manufacturing process engineers' job duties includes:

  • Creating and overseeing standardized production procedures;
  • Maintaining all documentation for products, such as work instructions and revision drawings; and determining ways to minimize operating costs, such as equipment justification to enhance performance. Specifically provide technical support to the single alloy part business.
  • This position will collaborate with colleagues on issues like cost projections and reduction, as well as run times.
  • You will interface with suppliers regarding the manufacturing process.
  • This position will create automated machinery by utilizing 3D CAD software, working with suppliers to obtain the parts, and testing them. They can also look at issues like space requirements and machinery layout to create an optimized work flow.
  • This position will be responsible for efficient execution of making benchmark parts to support sale of machines.
  • Will have overall responsibility in driving to improvements in the quality and reducing the delivery time.
  • Concur with applications, engineering, and production teams to develop new products/applications and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Innovate and develop new opportunities for continuous process improvement.
  • Initiate activities to increase quality and efficiency of department and company-wide.
  • Attend and participate in any training or education required by company.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Set performance standards and review individual achievements as required.
  • Travel may be required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent advanced degree in engineering or science.
  • Five years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment with previous responsibilities in program management.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and lead individuals and teams.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and move about in a manufacturing facility.
  • Manual dexterity and manipulation to operate a computer and telephone.
  • Ability to use MS Office.
  • Visual acuity to read computer printouts, engineering drawings and detailed reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with agencies, customers, prospective clients and staff.
  • Capable of travelling independently – nationally and internationally.
